First episode of the podcast „Digitalisierung der Medizin” has been published
On April 30th, the first episode of the podcast „Digitalisierung der Medizin“ titled „Faszination Medizinische Informatik" has been published. In this first episode, Petra Knaup-Gregori and Antje Wulff from the HiGHmed consortium talk with podcaster Katrin Rönicke about their path into medical informatics and how they try to improve people's lives with data. Petra Knaup-Gregori is head of the department “Medical Informatics” at the Heidelberg University Hospital and Antje Wulff is research associate at the Peter L. Reichertz Insititute of the Technical University Braunschweig and Hannover Medical School.
The podcast is part of the HiGHmed consortium effort to strengthen medical informatics in Germany, for which HiGHmed has set itself the task of bringing aspects of the digitalization of medicine to the general public.
Available at DigitalisierungDerMedizin.de the podcast offers exciting insights into innovative concepts and projects at the interface of medicine and computer science. The currently planned episodes of the podcast are in German and are addressed to everyone who is interested in medicine and digitalization and who is looking for new thought-provoking impulses. The podcast offers a modern, authentic, thematically wide-ranging listening experience that puts the focus on real people who convey the subject in an approachable and personal way.
The next episode of the podcast with the title „Braucht es neue Kompetenzen in der digitalen Medizin?“ will be published on May 29th. In the second episode, Bärbel Miemietz, and Ina Isabell Pidun (both from Hannover Medical School) will talk with Katrin Rönicke about the meaning of digitalization for medicine and if healthcare professionals will need new competences in the future.
